Here are some guidelines to help as you prepare your items for the sale. Click here to see what is acceptable and not acceptable for the sale.

Clothing

The better they look, the better they sell! Please take time to wash AND iron your clothes if necessary. Please check for stains, broken zippers, torn hemlines, etc. We will be double checking at the store and will not receive any item that is not in excellent condition. Use children's plastic hangers for sizes 10 and below. Use larger plastic hangers for sizes 12 and above. You may also use wire coated hangers as long as they are 'size appropriate.' No metal hangers, please! Plastic and wire-coated hangers can be purchased at discount stores. This makes shopping more pleasant for everyone!

In the Spring, we receive only Spring and Summer clothing (Children's, Junior, and Maternity). We will accept khaki pants and jeans both seasons. We will also accept light-weight long sleeve shirts, jackets, and sweaters (because doesn't it seem like we need a sweater to wear over our Easter dresses every year!) We will not accept heavy winter fabrics like flannel, corduroy, fleece, velvet, or clothing with winter scenes (like Christmas or Snowmen).

In the Fall, we receive only Fall and Winter Children's, Junior and Maternity clothing. We will not accept tank tops, sleeveless shirts, swimsuits, or sandals.

Please group items together so that they will equal a value of at least $3.00. They may be pinned together on a hanger.

All pants must be pinned to a hanger, not folded over, as they tend to end up on the floor.

Safety pin all sets and accessories securely together. Pants can be hung on the back of the shirt at the waist. Both pieces need to be viewable without unpinning them. Another great option is putting the two items on their own hangers and rubber-banding the hangers together so that both items are viewable without taking apart.

Shoes

Please only bring your like-new shoes! Shoes are difficult to tag. First, put your consignor number and price on masking tape on the bottom of the shoes. Then safety pin the price tag to a shoe lace or through the shoe eyelet. Put the shoes and price tag inside ziploc bag. This keeps all the shoes from getting tangled up and keeps tags from getting torn off and lost. Make sure the soles are very clean. Spotless shoes will sell!

Bedding

It is best to package a bedding set together in its original clear plastic bag with zipper. These can also be purchased at discount stores. The giant Ziploc bags also work well. If you can include a picture of a made up bed and a list of what is inside, you are sure to get good results.

Blankets

Hang and pin blankets over hangers so that shoppers can see them. You may also put them in a large ziploc bag. If they are small receiving blankets, group 2 or 3 together in a ziploc bag and seal with clear plastic tape. Safety pin tag to ziploc bag.

Loose Items

Bottles, bibs, rattles, socks, bows, etc group together appropriately in ziploc bags. Seal with clear packing tape. Pin tag to ziploc bag. It also helps to write your consignor number and info on the ziploc with a Sharpee in case the tag comes off during the sale.

Toys, Furniture, Equipment

Must be clean and in working order (batteries included.) Please, go through your toys carefully to assure that they are not missing pieces or broken. Think of how you would feel if you were the shopper and gave your child a puzzle as a gift...only to discover that one of the pieces was missing when he tried to put it together. :( Small parts should be bagged and attached to the main part very securely. If parts get separated it will not sell. Games should be taped closed. Puzzles, books, videos and small toys should be grouped accordingly and put in ziploc bags. Secure with clear packing tape and pin tag to the ziploc bag. It is also good to write your consignor number and info on the ziploc bag with a Sharpee in case the tag comes off. Puzzles should be wrapped securely in clear Saran wrap to keep the pieces intact. TOYS NOT PACKAGED APPROPRIATELY WILL BE TURNED AWAY.

We will only accept Beanie Baby, Disney or other name brand stuffed animals in like new condition.

Large Little Tikes Toys and Furniture are in high demand! When tagging large toys it is best to also attach a piece of masking tape to the toy with your consignor information. This will enable us to sell your toy even if the tag comes off! We sell 95% of Toys, Furniture and Baby Equipment!

Toy recall information- Due to the high number of toy recalls during the past year, we will be inspecting toys very carefully. We reserve the right to pull any toy that we think might have been recalled. To help us, please do not bring any toys that have been subject to a recall. Car Seats

Your car seat must have been manufactured within the past five years. You must be the original owner. It must not be subject to recall or have been in an accident. You may check the following website for current recalls: www.carseat.org/Recalls/179NP.pdf All seat covers and straps must be thoroughly cleaned. You will be asked to sign a car seat waiver stating your car seat has all the pieces and is in excellent condition and not more than five years old. Car seats will be closely inspected for safety reasons.

The furniture nook has been very popular! We carry all kinds of children's furniture: changing tables, rocker/gliders, toddler beds, bunk beds, bookshelves, children's desks, etc. If you have a question about a furniture item, please email us.

Cribs

We will NOT accept any cribs manufactured before Dec 31, 2010. For cribs manufactured between Dec 31, 2010, and June 28, 2011, we can accept them if they have a certificate of compliance and have not been recalled. For cribs manufactured after June 28, 2011, we can accept them if they have not been recalled.
